Çelebiağa Mosque
The mosque is dated to 976 AH / 1568 CE. Its patron is identified in the inscription as “Çelebi bin Ali Bey.” It is known that, at its original location, the mosque formed part of a külliye complex together with a public soup kitchen (imaret), a madrasa, and a fountain (Danık, 2004).

Like the Sungurbey Mosque, the Çelebiağa Mosque has been regarded as a complex comprising the imaret, madrasa and the mosque’s fountain, situated in the Old Pertek settlement area—its original location prior to relocation (Akçay, 1996; cited in: Danık, 2004).
The founder of the building is accepted as Çelebi Ali, whose name appears in the inscription and to whom the mosque is named. The original text and transcription of the inscription on the mosque and fountain were first published by Albert Gabriel (1940) in his work Voyages Archéologiques dans la Turquie Orientale I (Danık, 2004).
According to the inscription, the building was dated to 1568 by Albert Gabriel and Nazmi Sevgen.
